Honoring the American Heroine: The Story of 2nd Lt. Elsie S. Ott

This is one of the many stories that the Purple Heart Foundation plans to exhibit on our women veterans for #WomensHistoryMonth. Second Lieutenant Ott was the first female aviator who helped establish procedures for today's medevac. Because of Ott, more men and women have been successfully taken off of the battlefield so they can return home to their loved ones. The Purple Heart Foundation is committed to serving our women veterans. It is with help from supporters like you that we are able to continue this. Make your one-time or monthly pledge to ensure that all veterans continue to get the support they need.
